Troubles and Progress: PF1E and PF2E progress

Eyo all,

Long time no see. I'll keep this short and to the point: the last two months were hectic. From work getting extremely busy out-of-the-blue (sick colleagues and exam classes) to my roof being revealed to be damaged and needing excessive repair costing thousands, my mind has been forced elsewhere for the past while. 

But...

I've been writing again, a couple of hours today as well. The PF1E version is first, with me giving priority to it as much as I can. One thing that's delaying it are the Prestige Classes, funnily enough. Needed to decide on a layout that made more sense than what I had. That has been done, so I'm entering them into the file as we speak. After that, it's only spells and alchemical recipes left, which should be straightforward to enter into the pdf. 

I do realise that words are just that though, words. So to hopefully soothe your minds, have these little previews!

As for the PF2E version, it's being worked on, but things are progressing slowly still. Mostly because I'm now also doing things partially myself that I had help with before. It's still going to be completed and shipped to you, no matter what. And if you need an update, like today, feel free to comment and poke. I'll respond as quickly as I can.

First Physical Wave sent! Books on the Way!

Eyo all!

 I’ll keep this update nice, short and sweet.

 The first wave has been sent!

 Everyone who has a purely 5E order should receive tracking and books in the mail soon. Let me know if there are any hickups!

 Does that mean I only have good news for the 5E crew? Not at all. The PF1E people should be expecting the book PDF to drop early-ish in August. The PF2E people do have to wait a little longer, but I can say that all classes are being worked on now, with the subsystems nicely entwining with both existing PF2E content and Lugon-specific lore and attributes.

 Thank you for staying with me on this journey, and I hope to be able to make all of you happy with more content in the future! And hopefully it goes a fair bit smoother as well. It’s been a valuable learning experience on the administration and development front, that’s for sure.

Cheers, and I hope you all aren’t burning away too much this summer.

Huge News: First physical copies are in!

Eyo all!

 I stand here before you today with great news: the first Lugon, Evolution & Magic hardcover has just arrived at my doorstep. The 5E version is in! A big 500 kg pallet was delicately delivered underneath my carport. I’ll keep it brief, but I'd like to share this with you. Pictures are down below!

So, what's the plan? Well, all pieces are in place for the 5E version of the Codex. So those will be shipped out soon. It will still take a week or so to prepare, pack and stock on all the extra goodies, but they're on their way. Including extra maps and one-shots!

For the PF1E and PF2E version, there's good news too. The PF1E PDF is almost done, but I am having some trouble with spell layout. That's only a minor setback. With a bit of luck, I should be able to throw the PF1E pdf online within a week, maybe two. On the PF2E front, a very nice collaborator who helped in the project earlier has offered to step in and get some fuel back into the steam engine. That means that the final class is also well on its way to being transferred to 5E. Being a teacher, I do have the summer off, so I'll be able to sink more time into this as well (although I'll be away for two weeks at the end of July).

Everything Locked and Loaded, Partial Distribution Started!

Eyo all!

First of all, apologies for the tardiness. I thought I had already started the digital distributions, but I... well... pressed the wrong button. I'm very sorry, this is on me. 

Regardless, the digital distributions for the 5E version has been started, with the PF1E needing last-minute brushing up (might've added a prestige class and a few feats... sorry). The PF2E version is still chugging along, but things have been very slow on that front. My apologies to all PF2E fans. I'm doing my best.

But I do have some great news. For the physical books, I received the first test prints. I needed to know that the colours were 100% right. The art is absolutely gorgeous, so I believe it needs all the care I can give it. And I am thrilled to tell you all that the printer knocked it out of the park. Here are some pictures to show off.

 I'll keep in touch a bit more and post whenever there's a major update in the distribution. The physical books for the 5E version should be arriving at my house in May, after which I'll immediately start sending them.

Final Call for Survey entry, final two weeks!

Eyo all!

I'll keep this update short and to the point:

The Surveys will close and I will start digital distribution of the products that are done in 2 weeks. This date is the 15th of March.

If I do not have your choice for your preferred system, I can't really do much (Sending random books in somebody's direction is something I'm not going to do). So for those who haven't filled in the survey yet, hop on it!

For those who did fill it in, thanks a lot! Also extra thanks to those who bought the new one-shot bundles to help me with shipping. It actually worked out, there was enough interest to manage the shipping prices. If you still want those one-shots, the add-on will stay open until the moment the surveys close and I need to lock things in. 

Update on the book: After visiting the printer, I was made aware of more upgrades I could do to the book without bumping up the price too much. These include two reading ribbons instead of one, plus printed endpapers instead of plain white. I accepted these changes and thus the quality of the book was increased again. Fun fact: The total printing cost per book, even with these bonuses, is lower than I calculated when the campaign started. This is because I'm buying them in a larger bulk. So look forward to having a very fancy book!
