Huge News: First physical copies are in!
about 1 month ago – Mon, Jun 08, 2026 at 01:30:41 PM

Eyo all!

I stand here before you today with great news: the first Lugon, Evolution & Magic hardcover has just arrived at my doorstep. The 5E version is in! A big 500 kg pallet was delicately delivered underneath my carport. I’ll keep it brief, but I'd like to share this with you. Pictures are down below!

So, what's the plan? Well, all pieces are in place for the 5E version of the Codex. So those will be shipped out soon. It will still take a week or so to prepare, pack and stock on all the extra goodies, but they're on their way. Including extra maps and one-shots!

For the PF1E and PF2E version, there's good news too. The PF1E PDF is almost done, but I am having some trouble with spell layout. That's only a minor setback. With a bit of luck, I should be able to throw the PF1E pdf online within a week, maybe two. On the PF2E front, a very nice collaborator who helped in the project earlier has offered to step in and get some fuel back into the steam engine. That means that the final class is also well on its way to being transferred to 5E. Being a teacher, I do have the summer off, so I'll be able to sink more time into this as well (although I'll be away for two weeks at the end of July).

Thank you all so much for your patience, things are really coming together!

May the Arals guide all your journeys,

Mark

Everything Locked and Loaded, Partial Distribution Started!
3 months ago – Sun, Apr 12, 2026 at 04:19:32 AM

Eyo all!

First of all, apologies for the tardiness. I thought I had already started the digital distributions, but I... well... pressed the wrong button. I'm very sorry, this is on me.

Regardless, the digital distributions for the 5E version has been started, with the PF1E needing last-minute brushing up (might've added a prestige class and a few feats... sorry). The PF2E version is still chugging along, but things have been very slow on that front. My apologies to all PF2E fans. I'm doing my best.

But I do have some great news. For the physical books, I received the first test prints. I needed to know that the colours were 100% right. The art is absolutely gorgeous, so I believe it needs all the care I can give it. And I am thrilled to tell you all that the printer knocked it out of the park. Here are some pictures to show off.

I'll keep in touch a bit more and post whenever there's a major update in the distribution. The physical books for the 5E version should be arriving at my house in May, after which I'll immediately start sending them.

Cheers and have a great weekend,

Mark

Final Call for Survey entry, final two weeks!
5 months ago – Sun, Mar 01, 2026 at 04:24:30 AM

Eyo all!

I'll keep this update short and to the point:

The Surveys will close and I will start digital distribution of the products that are done in 2 weeks. This date is the 15th of March.

If I do not have your choice for your preferred system, I can't really do much (Sending random books in somebody's direction is something I'm not going to do). So for those who haven't filled in the survey yet, hop on it!

For those who did fill it in, thanks a lot! Also extra thanks to those who bought the new one-shot bundles to help me with shipping. It actually worked out, there was enough interest to manage the shipping prices. If you still want those one-shots, the add-on will stay open until the moment the surveys close and I need to lock things in.

Update on the book: After visiting the printer, I was made aware of more upgrades I could do to the book without bumping up the price too much. These include two reading ribbons instead of one, plus printed endpapers instead of plain white. I accepted these changes and thus the quality of the book was increased again. Fun fact: The total printing cost per book, even with these bonuses, is lower than I calculated when the campaign started. This is because I'm buying them in a larger bulk. So look forward to having a very fancy book!

That's all for today, have a great day!

Cheers,

Mark

Urgent Shipping, Survey Deadline & Printing Update
5 months ago – Sat, Feb 07, 2026 at 12:37:10 PM

Eyo all!

I got quite some updates, some of which are better than others. Let's make this quick and get through this:

  • Shipping: I'll have to be honest. With the things going on in the world right now, shipping costs are not stable. They have increased quite a bit. Still, I am not willing to throw random extra shipping costs onto you all. I am very grateful for all your support, after all. Instead, I want to give the option to help, but for something in return. If you go into your survey again from the moment this update has been sent, you'll find another option there: a shipping offset option. You can choose one one-page oneshot, including its high-def map with and without markers, for 2 euros (about 2.4 dollars). You can also choose the bundle with all 6 of them for 10 euros, or be the absolute general adventurer and chip in for a bit more. Do note that this is all optional. Regardless of people chipping in, you will all get your items as soon as they're printed, and I have all things in order. These rewards are all PDFs and will be available the moment the surveys close.
  • Survey Deadline: In tandem with the shipping, I am putting some deadlines in place. The shipping offset is active and will be for about two weeks. After these two weeks, I will be sending out another update to remind people of the survey and to urge those who didn't fill in their survey to do so. The surveys will close two weeks after that reminder (so four weeks from now). After this deadline, I'll be setting things in actual motion for the physical side of things.
  • Printing: There is good news as well. I have found a printer that is capable of manufacturing very high-quality books for a very nice price. Which means that I probably have space to put a few more upgrades in place. Namely, woven spines instead of glued, which means the durability of the book is increased immensely, gold foil or UV spot lacquer for the cover to make the title pop, a scratch-resistant mat surface for the cover itself, and higher quality and heavier paper within the book itself. I am personally visiting the printer next week, and we'll hopefully start printing a day or so after. I just hope my little home has enough space for the books!

Cheers and enjoy!

Start of 2026 Update! A shift in tempo.
6 months ago – Sun, Jan 11, 2026 at 01:28:59 PM

Eyo all!

A short update from me. Surveys have been sent out! For any questions and such, do message me so I can help.

  • Progress:
    • General: A2 map is being made and finalized.
    • 5E version is done. PDF has been uploaded to Backerkit to be distributed once orders are locked.
    • PF1e: PDF almost done, uses the 5E one as a layout basis so it is going rather quickly.
    • PF2e: Same as two weeks ago, this version will take some more time.
    • Other PDFs and content: The majority of non-PF2E PDF content has been uploaded to Backerkit. The PF1E content has been ordered at the printer for as far as I'm able.
  • Packages and Sending: As I am no longer able to adjust shipping rates, I might have to ask for the tarrif charges from backers before orders are locked. Will keep the USA people posted on that.
  • Community: As always, please spread the link to the Discord!

That's all the news I have for you. Nice and short, but hopefully it does give all of you a good bit of hype!

Cheers and enjoy!
